Meet Marisa
Marisa graduated from Creighton University in May of 2016 with a doctorate degree in occupational therapy. Born and raised in Anchorage, Marisa values being able to give back to this community through her work with children and families. With over 7 years of experience in a pediatric setting, Marisa is trained in helping children with self-regulation, sensory integration, coordination, motor development, neuro-rehabilitation, handwriting, and feeding difficulties. She has taken continuing education courses in sensory processing/integration, aquatic therapy, handwriting, feeding, motor impairment, and autism.
Marisa utilizes a creative, strengths-based approach to partner with families and assist children in overcoming potential barriers to access what brings them joy and meaning. She is passionate about nurturing growth and building confidence, particularly within the enriching backdrop of natural outdoor settings.
In her free time, Marisa enjoys recreating outside, traveling, baking, and crafting.
